At the start of 2010 fasteddyracing.com took full control of the GBXC, with the GBXC already established as a leading series what extra could be done?
As most people are aware numbers had been dropping recently mainly due to the current climate and the amount of events that are currently going on around the UK. However, with this in mind we decided to give GBXC some help, firstly we set the entry fee at a realistic £40 and introduced transponder timing for all events, then making sure we could find venues that are worthy and yet affordable to us and that can give the rider a proper National Championship and a worthy title to win at the end of the season.
This year has seen the introduction of the GBXC Sprint Cross that has taken place on a Saturday prior to Sunday’s main event, the aim of the sprint was to yet again try something new and give extra value to those riders who still want to make a full weekend of racing, with numbers now already doubled from the first Sprint Cross the future is looking good for GBXC.
2012 GBXC News
We are pleased to announce the GBXC & Sprint X Championship plans and dates for the forthcoming season. Following a very well supported 2011 we hope to, once again, give a series of good events that are value for money and great racing for both the riders and spectators.
For 2012 we will be starting in March with a visit to the Sweet Lamb Rally Complex in Mid Wales which has proved to be a very popular venue for riders with its all weather track. From there we will heading down south to Devon before returning to the Midlands and then in to Wales. We will be visiting other new areas of the country but we are keeping that under our hats for now!
Our other great news is the return of all the top XC riders in the country who have pledged their support for the championship. Current champion, Tom Sagar, will face stiff competition from Kawasaki’s Ryan Voase and Mark Roberts along with Edmondson Racing’s Lee Edmondson, Brad Freeman and Fast Ely. Throw into the mix many specialist XC racers and we will be in for a real treat.

Round Six 25th & 26th August @ Monmouth, Wales
